The Work of this Contract shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment and machinery, water, heat utilities, transportation, insurance, taxes, superintendence, coordination and miscellaneous services required for the construction and completion of the Work, whether temporary or permanent and whether or not incorporated or to be incorporated into the Work. All Work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. In the event of conflict within the Contract Documents or within these Specifications, the provisions of the more stringent, as determined by the Architect, shall govern. The Contractor shall include in the Contract Sum all allowances stated in the Contract Documents. Items covered by these allowances shall be supplied for such amounts and by such persons as the Architect may direct. Designate in Construction Schedule delivery dates for products under each allowance. Designate in Schedule of Values quantities of materials specified under unit cost allowances. Work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of approximately 40,000 square feet on two levels. Construction includes exterior and interior load bearing block walls, brick veneer, concrete slab on grade, concrete and block foundation walls and concrete footings. Second floor construction is concrete plank with topping slab. Roof construction is fully adhered EPDM roofing over rigid insulation over metal deck, sloped to exterior gutters and downspouts. Windows are aluminum storefront; exterior doors and frames are hollow metal. Interior doors are solid wood with plastic laminate faces. Interior finishes include, but are not limited to, vinyl composition tile, resinous flooring, carpeting and sealed concrete. Interior wall finish includes epoxy paint and ceramic tile. Ceilings are suspended grid with lay-in acoustical tile and limited painted gypsum board ceilings. Complete mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems are included.
