Site work for a water / sewer project in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Work includes: Furnish and install approximately 4,575 horizontal linear feet (LF) of 24-inch mortar lined and coated steel (ML&CS) pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings. Furnish and install approximately 335 horizontal LF of 24-inch mortar lined and plastic coated steel (ML&PCS) pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings. Furnish and install approximately 705 horizontal LF of 36-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings, with fiber optic cables. Furnish and install approximately 510 horizontal LF of 22-inch HDPE pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings, with fiber optic cables. Furnish and install approximately 510 horizontal LF of 12-inch HDPE pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings. Furnish and install approximately 80 horizontal LF of 12-inch ML&PCS pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings. Abandon existing 16-inch and 20-inch cast iron and steel pipe and fill with cellular concrete. Furnish and install 20-inch line stop as required in two locations to facilitate shutdown of water mains. Furnish and install one 20-inch gate valve and connection piping. Install fiber optic cables with the 22-inch and 36-inch HDPE pipelines. Provide required traffic control measures. Remove and dispose of abandoned pipelines for installation of new pipelines. Provide final restoration of pavement, landscaping, and sports track. Estimated cost of this work is between $7,000,000 and $9,000,000. This project will require multiple trades and types of work; for example (note: this list is not allinclusive): demolition, saw-cutting, hazardous materials handling, grading, excavation, fill, concrete, bolting, pipeline, plumbing, fire protection, crane equipment, fencing, trucking, landscaping, paving, track repair, and other required work and trades. Proposals to perform the work shall be made on the forms provided and shall be submitted complete, including bid bond and list of subcontractors, in accordance with the requirements of the Specifications. Refer to Appendix G in the Specificationsfor details pertaining to sole source products specified by the District. Bidders shall have an active Class A license fromthe Contractors State License Board at the time of submitting bid. All work covered by the contractshall be completed within five hundred and thirty (530) calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Performance and payment bonds for not less than 100 percent of the contract price are required. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 3400, the District has established a procedure which permits bidders to have their proposed unlisted "or equal" product or service submittals evaluated prior to the project bid opening. See Instructions To Bidders, Article 3 - "Submittals Prior To OpeningBid." This procedure does not apply where products or services have been limited by specific designation per Public Contract Code Section 3400 (c). The intent of the prequalification process is not for bidders to submit all of their proposed "or equal" products, but only those that would, if rejected, affect the bidder's bid amount. All Contractors bidding on a public works project and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be registered with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Labor Code. As provided in Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contractor may substitute securities for monies withheld by the District to ensure performance of the work *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
