Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Petersburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; office development; and office development.
The Contractor shall build the new Admissions & Advancement building according to the drawings provided. This building is a new 3-story, 30,000 sf rectangular building with a curtainwall feature "pop-out" on the north and south elevations. The roof is a low slope, "butterfly" shaped that overhangs the south façade. The mechanical equipment is located on the roof and is concealed with horizontal louvered screening. The south entry canopy, has a low-sloped standing seam copy roof. The exterior materials are predominantly masonry veneer using the campus standard Flemish brick blend. The header bond is extruded in select sections. The building base is a dark gray linear cast stone. The punched windows are storefront. Copper-plate metal panels will be used on the north façade. Site Scope includes parking, bus drop and exterior patio adjacent to the building. A new satellite lot will be provided 400 yards away. The contractor will coordinate all trades per the documents. This project will be LEED Silver or greater.
