Proposals from experienced contractors to resurface and renovate the tennis courts at VFW Park from three tennis courts to two tennis courts and two pickle ball courts. VFW Park is located at 730 Grant Street in De Pere, WI. Proposals will be accepted for the work tasks described in this proposal. Price quotes shall be all-inclusive and represent the completion of all tasks necessary to appropriately resurface the facility and to convert one of the tennis courts into two pickle ball courts. The accepted proposal and firm shall be responsible for all parts, labor, and other associated equipment and/or tasks necessary to complete the resurfacing and renovation of one of the courts. The current tennis courts have not been resurfaced in about 9 years. Although there is some cracking, the courts were inspected by the City Engineering Department, and it is felt the courts do not have to be milled. The City has allocated funding in the 2022 budget to conduct necessary tasks to resurface the facility and to convert one tennis court into two pickle ball courts. The contractor will be required to perform all tasks needed to provide a satisfactory product in resurfacing the facility and converting one tennis court into two pickle ball courts. Tasks will include, but not limited to: color coating surface removal, patching and/or filling all asphalt, ensuring a smooth surface void of bird baths, removal of posts from one tennis court, installation of standards for two pickle ball courts, installation of fence to section off pickle ball courts, installing new color coating surface, and painting lines in accordance with tennis and pickle ball standards. Contractors should review the specifications in developing a proposal(s) for consideration. The project is expected to be conducted in 2022, and be completed prior to August 1, 2022.
