Project consists of The project involves re-roof work at the KCTCS - System office building in Versailles, KY. The existing approximately 128,000 square foot roof to be removed is spray foam apllied roof over built up asphalt on multiple deck conditions. Multiple decks include metal deck, light weight concrete and gypsum deck. The new roof system is a SBS Modified Asphalt Two Ply system that is cold adhered over rigid board insulation system. The existing roof drains are to be reused. Three new roof drains and associated piping will be installed. All pre-finished metal roof coping caps, flashings, accessories and terminations are to be replaced. 1. Project cost range is anticipated to be under $2,938,000. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). KCTCS requires that the bidder submit with the bid the following information: 1. Bid Bond - properly signed, witnessed and executed. 2. Forms - properly signed with all required information completed at the time of submittal. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. NON-CONFORMANCE TO THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE GROUNDS FOR REJECTION OF Bid The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and shall have the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder shall provide a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Preference for resident bidders shall be given as outlined in KRS 45A.90 to 45A.94. The City of Versailles, KY (Woodford County) Attorney will be responsible for any and all contractual conflicts that may arise with the proposed bidder.
