Renovation of a library in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
** This project has been awarded to Oak Hills Construction in the amount of $195,000. ** Replacement and/or modification of non-accessible components in existing restrooms and drink-ing fountains to be accessible. Project components include, but, are not limited to: Removal and reinstallation of items indicated on drawings, protection of exist-ing site and building components to i.ernain, salvage and reinstal-lation of existing building compo-nents as necessary for the execu-tion of other work, selective demo-lition, and adjustment/installation of lavatories, water closets, toilet room accessories, and partitions. On-site construction shall be phased to accommodate building activities, operations, and access utilizing a combination of regular and off-hours schedules. PROJECT LOCATION: Interior public restrooms and drinking fountains at the Seattle Public Librarys Montlake Branch, 2401 24th Ave E., Seattle, WA 9811; Madrona Branch, 1134 33rd Ave, Seattle, WA 9812; Northeast Branch, 6801 35th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115; Capitol Hill Branch 425 Harvard Ave. E., Seattle, WA 98102. Replacement and/or modification of non-accessible components in existing restrooms and drinking fountains to be accessible. Project components include, but are not limited to: Removal and reinstallation of items indicated on drawings, protection of existing site and building components to remain, salvage and reinstallation of existing building components as necessary for the execution of other work, selective demolition, and adjustment/installation of lavatories, water closets, toilet room accessories, and partitions. Spring and summer 2022 phased substantial completion. and acceptance of installed work with related punchlist work; final completion and closeout on/before October 31, 2022. INCLUSION PLAN: For purposes of the Inclusion Plan, this is considered a Facilities type of project with a Past Performance of 17 percent WMBE utilization rates based on completed projects. BID DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents, contacts and Bid Instructions are available at City of Seattle Procurement For all public works projects having an A/E's estimate of $300,000 or more, all Bidders shall complete and submit the Inclusion Plan, Attachment A to the Bid Form. Failure to submit a completed Inclusion Plan as required on the Plan will result in a determination that the Bid is non-responsive and the Bid will be rejected. The Bidder's completed Inclusion Plan will be awarded points based on how well the Inclusion Plan demonstrates the Bidder's commitment to make affirmative efforts to establish and meet reasonably achievable goals for WMBE utilization. In order to be considered responsive, the Bidder's Inclusion Plan must receive at least the minimum number of points as detailed on the Plan to be considered responsive. Not required for Small Works Roster projects. Recruit and hire minority and women apprentices for the Project. Of the total apprentice utilization requirement percentage, the Contractor shall pursue a goal of using twenty-one (21%) labor hours performed by minority apprentices and twenty percent (20%) labor hours performed by women apprentices.
