Milwaukee Public Schools will receive sealed quotations for furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary, including public liability and property damage insurance to perform all work necessary and incidental to the Office Remodeling. The are no HUB, Student Employment / Participation requirements for this request for quotation. All questions should be submitted in writing prior to 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 to DFMSProcurement@milwaukee.k12.wi.us. No questions will be answered after that date and time. No questions will be answered verbally. No verbal information from any source is to be relied upon by any respondent in the development of their response to the RFP. Written questions and responses will be documented by way of addenda, which will be forwarded to all bidders. 1. Furniture and equipment to be removed by owner. 2. Remove and replace existing carpet and mastic and associated coverboard in Main Office Area Rooms 110, 110A and 108A as shown in attached drawings 3. Install new homogenous vinyl tile flooring at entrance Room 110 as shown in attached drawings. 4. Existing wood shoe molding to be removed prior to demolition and reinstalled once flooring is complete a. Notify Owner if existing shoe base cannot be reused. Owner will furnish new shoe base to match existing if necessary. 5. Existing vinyl base around built-in cabinetry to be removed where applicable. 6. Provide and install new 5-ply birch underlayment per attached specifications. 7. Provide and install new transition strips at all doorways and between new carpet and vinyl tiles and existing flooring as needed. 8. Install new 4" High vinyl base around all built-in cabinetry where existing base was removed. 9. Carpet Tile, Homogenous Vinyl Tile, Vinyl Base and all associated mastics to be supplied by owner. 10. Contractor to furnish underlayment, and appropriate transition strips (gray to match base). 11. Contractor shall paint all walls in Main Office 110 as indicated on drawings. Paint around all built in cabinetry, tack boards or other items permanently attached to the wall. Patch all holes in walls from pictures and other items removed. Two paint colors will be used, as shown on attached drawings. Previously painted wood picture rail will be painted to match wall color.
