INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at The George E. Whalen Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) located in Salt Lake City, Utah. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The George E. Whalen Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a Contractor for A/E and Construction Services necessary for construction of the project described. Contractor will furnish all necessary design-build services to include site investigation, preparation of phased drawing submittals (professionally stamped by A/E hired by contractor), construction period services, commissioning in accordance with VA Master Construction Specifications, testing / special inspections in accordance with VA Master Construction Specifications. Contractor will provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools, and supervision to perform a Two-Step Design-Build (D-B) and construction for the NRM Project: EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Data Center Salt Lake City UT, located at 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84148 on the George E. Whalen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus. PROCUREMENT INFORMATION: The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed-price contract for design-build services outlined in FAR Part 36.3 Two Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 236220 (size standard less than $39.5 million) applies to this procurement. This project is planned for advertising in June 2021. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
