Replacement of existing blinker sign assemblies with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) sign assemblies, repairing existing blinker signs and foundations, arrow sign replacement, etc. Public safety and control equipment and supplies and accessories including traffic control (driver feedback signs and traffic signals) and water safety and rescue equipment and accessories and snow and ice melter and snow removal equipment and road salt. Electrical wire and cable and harness including conduit and fittings and circuit breakers. Electrical equipment and components and supplies including electrical plugs and circuit protection devices and transformers. Signage and accessories including flags and flagpoles and parts and accessories and identification documents and tags and labels. Construction services including sewer maintenance and repair, roads and highways and excavation and backfill services, levee and dam construction and digging, ditching, road grading, rock stabilization, equipment rental or lease, and energy conservation. Emailed bids or bids delivered to any other location will not be accepted. When submitting a bid electronically, bidders must allow sufficient time before the deadline to complete the forms and upload documents. The bid event will end at the closing time posted on SciQuest. If a bidder is in the middle of uploading a bid when the closing time arrives, SciQuest will stop the process and the bid or bid modification will not be accepted. Contract Documents may be obtained for free online via SciQuest (The Utah Supplier Portal). The plans and specifications can be reviewed and downloaded at the web site. To ensure notification of addenda is received, BIDDERS please register with Utah Public Procurement Place (SciQuest). The construction contract will be awarded in compliance with the City's value-based procurement program which takes into account certain factors in the Bidder's work environment. For more information about this program please read SLC Administrative Rules, Procurement Roles Chapter 19 (See document 00 22 18, Article 1.2 paragraph "A" for a link). All contractors intending to submit a bid are invited to attend to obtain relevant information concerning the project. Bidders are advised that information affecting drawings, specifications, conditions, Scope of Work, etc. may be discussed. OWNER assumes no obligation to disclose information discussed at the pre-bid conference to Bidders who do not attend. Absent Bidders assume all risk of failure to attend. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to replacement of existing blinker sign assemblies with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) sign assemblies, repairing existing blinker signs and foundations, arrow sign replacement, and blinker sign adjustments to the height clearances of signs and equipment. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
