A concrete collar shall be poured around the connection of the steel pipe and existing concrete structure. The collar shall be minimum of 12" thick and 2' wide for the full circumference of the pipe. The flowline elevations of the pipe shall slope from the high side on the West to the low side on the East. The pipe shall be backfilled in no more than 8" lifts to a minimum density of 95% of the standard density. The backfill shall extend a minimum of 1' above the top of the pipe.
