Any competitive bid submitted to the county for the furnishing of goods or services must be submitted on Form S.A.&I-4040 (1982) and the non-collusion statement completed. They will reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Contractor shall, in a good and first-class, workmanlike manner, at its own cost and expense, furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to perform and complete said work in strict accordance with the Bidding Documents, with the following additions and/or exceptions: (if none, so state.) The 10' diameter steel pipe structure shall be built within the existing county right-of-way. The pipe shall be 40' long with a minimum wall thickness of 1/2 inch.
The roadway over the pipes shall be a minimum width of 28' wide with foreslopes no greater than a 1:2 slope.
Removal of Existing Structure includes all cost to remove and dispose of the existing pipe structure and wingwalls. The existing rock/concrete structure is to remain in place.
The 10' diameter steel pipe shall be installed flush against the East side of the concrete structure. A concrete collar shall be poured around the connection of the steel pipe and existing concrete structure. The collar shall be minimum of 12" thick and 2' wide for the full circumference of the pipe.
The flowline elevations of the pipe shall slope from the high side on the West to the low side on the East.
The pipe shall be backfilled in no more than 8" lifts to a minimum density of 95% of the standard density.
The backfill shall extend a minimum of 1' above the top of the pipe.
Pipe Backfill and Earthwork includes all costs to prepare the site for pipe installation, to backfill around the pipes to the elevation of the existing roadway or one foot over the pipes, whichever is greater.
