Renovation of a detention facility in Grande Cache, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of Correctional Services Canada (CSC), is seeking tenders for the addition of a sprinkler system to the A05-U Warehouse at the Grande Cache Institution. The scope of work for this project is for the addition of a sprinkler system to the A05-U Warehouse at the Grande Cache Institution. In addition to the sprinkler system the existing water line feeding the building will be required to be upgraded. The warehouse stores important inventory food and supplies, refrigerator, bedding, office supplies. In addition there are also stores IT supplies such as computers and monitors. As these supplies are of critical importance to the everyday successful operations of the facility, sprinkler protection is required. The Grande Cache Institution (EMSI) is a minimum/medium located in the community of Grande Cache and has a rated capacity of 448 inmates. The majority of work for this project will take place in a warehouse located outside the main fence line for the institution however the tie in to the water main to upgrade the existing waterline is located within the institutions main fencing.
