Site work for a water / sewer project in Wood River, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be done under this contract consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 150 Combined Manholes. The rehabilitation will include complete manhole lining utilizing Cementitious Coating with ConmicShield additive, or approved equal, for added bacterial and fungi protection. Work to be done on each manhole varies, and includes, but is not limited to: cleaning/prep, step removal, building of manhole benches to create a flowline and lining. For the rehabilitation work in this project, no excavation or other surface disturbance is anticipated. One copy of the Bidding Documents will be available to view at the Wood River Public Works Office. In accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Wood River requires contractors to agree to follow the "Project Labor Agreement" as described in S.I.B.T.C. Project Labor Agreement, November 10, 2004, included in these specifications, Exhibit D. The Construction Contract for this project is subject to "An act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other workers employed in any public works by the State, County, City or any public body or any political subdivision or by anyone under contract for public works", approved June 26, 1941, Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Section 39s-1 et. seq., as amended. THE OWNER INTENDS TO AWARD THE CONTRACT TO THE MOST RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER SUBMITTING THE LOWEST BID. THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, AND TO WAIVE ANY IRREGULARITIES IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.
