Site work and paving for a civil project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Public Improvement, upon which bids are requested, generally consists of trenched reinforced concrete sewer main, PCC paving, HMA mill and overlay, and ADA improvements located at 1st Street SE between 3rd Avenue and 5th Avenue. The Engineer's estimate of probable cost is $1,510,000. The bids will be accessed online, opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m. on July 14, 2021 remotely via teleconference. To listen, dial 319-286-5098 and enter the participant number 695-1742. The teleconference will become available approximately 10 minutes prior to the submission deadline. A pre-Bid conference has not been scheduled for this Project. Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS), and City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, General Supplemental Specifications to SUDAS, 2021 edition are applicable to this project, and are available on the City of Cedar Rapids' website The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter into such contracts as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 60 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
