Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Pacifica, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and pipeline.

Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction of the project known as ANZA STORMWATER PUMP STATION NEW GAS SERVICE LINE PROJECT (C036) according to documents as prepared by the City of Pacifica, plans developed by PG&E, and according to the Contract Documents. In general, the project consists of the installation and testing of 250 LF of new 2-inch polyethylene gas service line with 50 LF in Caltrans Right of Way and the rest in the City s parking lot adjacent to the Anza Pump Station, installation and testing of vertical riser and core through Anza Pump Station southeast wall to enclosed area open to atmosphere where PG&E will connect; excavation and backfill/restore two (2) bellholes for PG&E to perform: mainline tie in and existing line cutoff. Work includes Traffic Control and double permitting off of the City s Caltrans Encroachment Permit. All bidders shall be PG&E Operator Qualification (OQ) certified for the gas service line-related work performed for this project. Bidding procedures are prescribed in the Contract Documents. This is a Public Works project. Bids shall be executed upon the bid forms provided, which are a part of the Contract Documents. Each bidder must submit with its bid security in one of the following forms: cash, cashier's check payable to the City, a certified check payable to the City, or a bid bond in the form included with the bid documents, executed by an admitted surety insurer, made payable to the City. The guaranty shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, and shall be forfeited should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to enter into the same, or fail to furnish in a timely manner the bonds and/or proof of insurance required under the Contract Documents. All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of the Business and Professions Code to do the type of work contemplated in the project. In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A, General Engineering Contractor license at the time that the bid is submitted and shall be PG&E Operator Qualification (OQ) certified for the gas service line-related work performed for this project. Failure to meet either of the above shall render the bid non-responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, and a labor and materials bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a business license from the City s Finance Department at 170 Santa Maria Avenue, Pacifica, CA 94044. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of the City, and waive any irregularities in the bids. The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the responsible bidder that submits the lowest responsive bid. The Engineer s Estimate is $150,000. Substantial Completion Date: Within 80 calendar days of Commencement Date
