Renovation of a laboratory facility in Harlingen, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The Health and Human Services Commission (Owner), for and on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division (HSCS), is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (Proposals) for selection of a General Contractor (Contractor) to provide general construction and construction administration services to the Owner for South Texas Laboratory Renovation (the Project), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Renovations and repairs to Building 505 (South Texas Lab) of the Rio Grande State Center including the expansion of existing BioSafety Lab level-2 and -3 spaces, a roof replacement, new rooftop HVAC equipment, exterior wall and window modifications, and miscellaneous repairs to existing interior finishes. Abatement of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) to be completed as required. For complete project information, refer to Attachment(s) H of Exhibit C, Project Specifications and Drawings. Deadline for submitting Questions Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. Central Time Deadline for submission of HSP (NOTE: HSPs must be received by Owner by the deadline.) Thursday, July 15, 2021 by 10:30 A.M. Central Time Anticipated Notice of Award August 30, 2021 Anticipated Contract Start Date September 14, 2021
