For the road milling and paving project, equipment, material and labor, for 3rd St. from Main St. to Penn St., 5th St. from Main St. to Dotts St. and 5th St. from Main St. to Penn St. The milled material will be retained by the Borough and be delivered to Pennsburg Community Park on E 8th St. The Borough will review bids and if appropriate, Borough Council will act on the bids at the July 13, 2021 meeting at 7PM. This project is also subject to Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond guaranteeing performance of the contract in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are not to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Letters of Credit will not be accepted. Pennsburg Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in the bids.
