Savannas Preserve South Savannas Weir project is described by the Contract Drawings, Contract Specifications, and the remaining Contract Documents. Specific elements of the Scope of Work are generally summarized below but this Summary of Work is not intended to be a complete description of the Work. The scope of this project is to construct an operable water control weir structure at Jensen Beach Boulevard and Warner Creek to provide habitat restoration within Savannas Preserve State Park and to reduce flooding in the downstream Warner Creek watershed. The scope of work includes site preparation, construction of a steel sheet pile weir with a steel reinforced concrete cap. The weir structure will include three (3) pass through bleeders with automatic and remote-controlled operable gates. Additional work includes riprap placement, concrete equipment pad, electric and fiber optic installation, security fencing and temporary and permanent driveway connection to Jensen Beach Boulevard. It is incumbent on the Contractor to maintain the existing drainage through the project area during the construction and plan for drainage management in the event of storms and hurricanes. This project is partially funded by a State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection grant (Agreement Number: LPA0114). Therefore, the successful Contractor must comply with all grant funding guidelines.
