The City of Stuart is seeking qualifications from experienced licensed roofing contractors to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, machinery, tools, materials, transportation, and other incidentals required for roofing repairs and replacement within the City on an as needed basis. Only those pre-qualified Contractors will be invited to submit bids for the Repair and Replacement of roofs throughout the City on an "as needed" basis for an initial contract period of one (1) year with two (one year) renewals. Proposer shall, at his own expense, pay all licenses, fees and taxes on labor, insurance benefits, vacations, holidays, and all manner of other charges, levies or fees of every description, and comply with all local ordinances, state and federal laws, rules and regulations applicable to business to be carried on under this contract. Licenses: Proposers, both corporate and individual, must be fully licensed and certified for the type of work to be performed in the State of Florida at the time of receipt. The submittal of any Proposer that is not fully licensed and/or certified shall be rejected. Sunbiz: Proposers, both corporate and individual, must provide proof that their firm is registered with the Division of Corporations for the State of Florida. Business Tax Receipt: Proposer shall comply with Business Tax Receipt requirements for their business location. A copy of the business tax receipt or proof of exemption must be included with the submittal package, if applicable. The successful company will be required to register with the City of Stuart business tax division. The CITY reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, part of proposals, and to waive minor irregularities or variations to specifications contained in proposals, and minor irregularities in the proposal process. The successful bidder, when awarded a contract, will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds with a carrier duly licensed and authorized to do business in the State of Florida, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract to assure faithful performance and timely payments to all persons providing labor, materials or supplies used in the performance of the work. Payment and Performance Bonds are required for all construction projects valued at $50,000.00 or more, or if the interest of the CIty may be threatened should a contractor fail to pay its materialmen or subcontractors (payment bond); Dault or non-performance to the standards of the specifications and/or scope of work described in the final awarded individual work orders.
