The Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District (hereinafter, the "Funding Agency") is soliciting Bids for the Bridge No. 38J40 on Hefflefinger Road Over Hockamin Creek, a project to replace culverts at a road-stream crossing about a half mile from Finland, Minnesota. The Project is located on a right-of-way managed by Crystal Bay Township. The Project consists of replacing two existing 8' wide round culverts with an approximately 26' wide open-bottom steel culvert below the road-stream crossing. The Work entails removal of existing structures, temporary stream diversion, and installation of concrete culvert footings. The Project is made possible in part by grants provided by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR), the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's (NFWF) Sustain Our Great Lakes Program, and Minnesota Trout Unlimited. The Funding Agency will be the main point of contact for contracting-related questions. The Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District seeks to protect and restore soil and water resources. Its mission is to improve water quality in Lake County by fostering responsible land use and by controlling soil erosion and non-point source pollution.
