Bids are for the furnishing of all labor and materials and all else necessary, consisting primarily of the following estimated quantities: said construction generally consists of retaining wall and bituminous walk removal, coarse filter aggregate, aggregate base, bituminous surface, concrete walk, prefabricated modular block walls (pmbw) approximate quantities are as follows: excavation 60 cu. Yd. Bituminous pavement 200 ton concrete walk 1200 sq. Ft. Prefabricated modular block wall 4000 sq. Ft. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond naming the City of Maple Grove as oblige, certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of Maple Grove or a cash deposit equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract. Each bid shall also be accompanied by an approved affirmative action certification. The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 30 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids will be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the date and time set for opening bids. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interest of the City.
