D264593, PIN 810632, FA Proj Z0E1-8106-323, Westchester Co., Ramp Reconstruction I-287 EB to Saw-Mill River Parkway NB., Bid Deposit: 5% of Bid (~ $375,000.00) , Goals: DBE: 9.00% In order to address the deficiencies of the Mechanically Stabilized Earth System (MSES) wall ramp, this project will replace the existing ramp, minimizing required retaining wall systems and eliminating the use of MSE construction methods by incorporating horizontal realignment, new embankment sections, and the appropriate types of retaining walls where needed. In addition to the proposed retaining walls that will reinforce the existing MSE walls that support the ramp, an additional wall will be constructed in front of the existing bridge abutment and will connect the proposed walls on both sides of the new ramp. The new retaining walls at the beginning of the proposed full depth reconstruction would reinforce the existing bridge abutment at the end of BIN 1070490 and the existing MSE walls that are to be left in place. This will reduce traffic impacts during construction, eliminate significant excavation and fill costs, and save time during construction. This project is located in the Town of Greenburgh in Westchester County. This Project Is Located in the Hudson Valley Region and Includes the Following: Counties Westchester Villages Elmsford Every bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation, in the sum of the amount shown on the proposal title page.
