Contractors LICENSE: In accordance with provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, the City has determined that Contractor shall possess any and all contractors licenses, in form and class as required by any and all applicable laws with respect to any and all of the work to be performed under this contract including, but not limited to, a Class "A" License (General Engineering Contractor) or Class B License (General Building Contractor) in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's License Law (California Business and Professions Code, Section 7000 et. seq.). Prevailing WAGES: In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, et seq., of the Labor Code, the Director of the Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work to be done. The Contractor will be required to pay to all persons employed on the project by the Contractor sums not less than the sums set forth in the documents entitled "General Prevailing Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1."These documents can be reviewed in the Office of the City Clerk or may be obtained from the State Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form and amount specified in Public Contract Code Sections 20170 and 20171. Payment BOND and Completion Bond: A Payment Bond and a Completion Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, will be required of the Contractor. The City of Rancho Cucamonga, reserves the right to reject any bid or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid. Any contract awarded will be let to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. A. Summary Project Description: Modifications and remodle of the City Manager suite of offices in the City of Rancho Cucamonga City Hall. B. Contract Scope: Construction, demolition, renovation, and facility operations during occupancy. C. Contract Terms: Lump sum (fixed price, stipulated sum). D. The currently occupied premises at the project site are open for examination by bidders only during the following hours: 1. Monday through Thursday: 8:00 to 5:00 The scope of work to be performed in general consists of, but not limited to, the reconfiguring of several departments (including carpet and ceiling replacement) in the upper level of City Hall (Bid Item 1), the remodeling of the Community Services Department breakroom (Bid Item 2), the expansion of three (3) offices in the Finance Department (Bid item 3) and the replacement of carpeting in two (2) stairways (Bid Item 4) plus other related work.
