Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
8th Ave NW and NW 133rd Street Bridge is being seismically retrofit to address seismic deficiencies. Retrofit measures include concrete column strengthening, capbeam strengthening, superstructure strengthening, and bumper blocks. The deck will be scarified and receive an overlay in the area receiving superstructure strengthening. Temporary excavation and shoring will be required for installation. Project Location: 8th Ave NW and NW 133rd Street Bridge is located in the Broadview neighborhood. It carries 8th Ave NW across a deep ravine in a residential area. The Dunn Gardens are located just north and east of the project site. A/E Estimate: $950,000 to $1,150,000. There is no pre-bid site inspection meeting scheduled for this project.
