Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,409-square-foot, six-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The project known as "Carbon County Emergency Operations & Training Center" is a project to construct a 4 story Fire Training Tower and a 2 story Observation building, to be located just east of 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning PA 18240, in Carbon County, PA. The project basics are: o Building 1 being a four story, approx. 9,538 sq. ft. Fire Training Tower with roof simulators, herein known as Carbon County Training Tower. a. Training Tower is a Concrete frame construction with CMU infill and will include 3 burn rooms. o Building 2 being a 2 story, approx. 3,010 sq. ft. Observation Building with attached single story Police Training room, herein known as Observation and Police Training Bldg. a. Observation and Police is a Split Face CMU bearing wall construction. Proposals are invited on a lump sum basis for the following parts of the Work: Contract No. 1 - General Construction, Fire Protection (including Site not covered under separate contract, Demolition if any, Architectural, Structural). Contract No. 2 - Electrical Work Contract No. 3 - Plumbing Contract No. 4 - HVAC and Mechanical Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount must accompany each bid in the form of either a certified check or a Bid Bond payable to the Owner: County of Carbon. The Successful Bidder(s) will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and also a Labor and Material Payment Bond in amounts not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sums as security for the faithful performance of the Contract. The County of Carbon reserves the right to reject any and all bids that are not in the best interest of the County of Carbon, or parts thereof. Questions shall be submitted via portal.
