**As of Aug 24, 2021, recommended contract to Speedy Fix, Inc. in the amount of $72,240 is scheduled for the City Council meeting on 9/7. The anticipated start date is approximately in a month. City of San Clemente will receive sealed bids for the following project: PARK MONUMENT SIGN REPLACEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT NO. 29103 This project involves the replacement of existing park entry sign as reflected in this project plans. The proposed entry monument sign reflects the park name using aluminum lettering attached to a masonry block wall and supported on a concrete spread footing. The location of the entry monument signs to be replaced will be provided by the City of San Clemente. The work must be completed within forty (40) working days from the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid California contractor's license for the following classification: Class "A" or "B". Failure to possess the specified license(s) at the time of bid opening shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award the contract to that non-responsive bidder. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by security in the form of cash, certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Personal checks or company checks are not acceptable forms of bid security. The successful bidder, simultaneously with execution of the contract, will be required to provide Faithful Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California.
