The work on the Project includes furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary or required to complete the tasks set forth in the Project specifications and as shown on the construction plans. The principal items of work to be constructed, along with approximate quantities, are as follows: Clearing Site 1 L.S. Excavation, Unclassified 1650 C.Y. Permanent Sheeting 1386 S.F. Reinforcement Steel 3400 Lbs. Reinforcement Steel, Galvanized 2800 Lbs. Concrete Footing 26 C.Y. Concrete Wing Wall 24 C.Y. Precast Concrete Culvert (8'x 7.5') 50 L.F. Steel 4-Bar Bridge Railing 46 L.F. Temporary Structure, Pedestrian Bridge 1 L.S. Concrete Bridge Sidewalk 6 C.Y. 12" Ductile Iron Pipe, Class 52 1 L.S. Respondents must submit bid proposals by no later than Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 10:30 am. No late proposals or bids will be accepted. The County is not responsible for bids delivered or otherwise not arriving on time. The County reserves the right under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 to reject bids for the reasons stated therein. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials, BUT IS NOT LIMITED to the following: 1. The Contractor shall provide all lines and grades for the Construction Layout of the Project. 2. The Contractor shall furnish, install, maintain, relocate, and remove all signs, barricades, and barriers required to maintain or detour vehicular traffic as specified on the Plans and in the Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. 3. The work shall include demolition of the existing bridge and substructure and the removal of the existing sidewalk, curbs, and roadway pavement to the limits indicated on the Plans, Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. 4. The work shall include the construction of new cast-in-place footings and wingwalls, installation of a new precast three-sided structure, reconstruction of pavement surfaces and base courses, new sidewalks and curb ramps, curbs, drainage structures (including a storm drainage system with inlets), restoration of pavements, curbs, driveway aprons and sidewalks, lawns, plantings, grassed areas, and all other miscellaneous roadway items; according to the Plans and Specifications and as directed by the Engineer. 5. The Contractor shall provide for the maintenance of pedestrian traffic throughout the duration of the Project by means of installation of the temporary pedestrian bypass bridge as shown on the Plans. 6. The Contractor shall construct all else incidental to and necessary for the satisfactory completion of the Project, according to the Plans and Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. 7. The Contractor MUST obtain and file for a Highway Opening Permit from the Passaic County Road Department, and NO FEE will be charged for this Permit. 8. The Contractor shall be responsible for the final cleanup of the Project Area, as well as any adjacent properties affected by his work. This shall be done both to the satisfaction of the Engineer and the affected property owners. 9. All salvageable items, except as noted elsewhere, shall be stored adjacent to the Project Site for pickup by Passaic County forces or their respective Owner. 10. The Contractor shall have the entire Project completed within 270 CALENDAR DAYS.
