Project Description: Highland Water District proposes to replace existing asbestos cement water main within their District boundaries with primarily ductile iron pipe. The project will be divided into two (2) schedules. Schedule A and Schedule B. Schedule A begins at the intersection of 252nd Avenue SE and Cromwell Road and extends north on 252nd Avenue SE, a private easement, until the end of the private easement. Schedule A includes the replacement of approximately l,000+- lineal feet of existing 6-inch-diameter asbestos cement water main with 8-inch and 4-inch-diameter ductile iron water main. Schedule B begins at the intersection of 127th Street SE and 263rd Avenue SE and extends east to the intersection of 1.27th Street SE and 266th Avenue SE. Schedule B also includes work in the cul-de-sacs of 264th Avenue SE, 265th Avenue SEI, and 266th. Avenue SE. The project includes the replacement of approximately l,700+- lineal feet of existing 6-inch asbestos cement water main. All construction in Schedule A must be completed before construction on Schedule B is to begin. The District washes to start the work immediately after award of the project and contract execution. Price is therefore requested for the work described herein. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by cash or a certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to Highland Water District, Snohomish County, Washington in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The check or Bid Bond shall be given as guarantee that the Bidder shall execute the Contract, ifit be awarded to such Bidder, in conformity with the Contract Documents and that the Bidder shall provide Surety Bond or Bonds as specified therein within ten (10) calendar days after notification of the award of the Contract to the Bidder. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days from the date of bid opening.
