Award Details Contract Award Date: Mar 15, 2022 Contract Award Number: 36C77622C0022 Task/Delivery Order Number: Contractor Awarded Unique Entity ID: N6F2MJSH4WM8 Contractor Awarded Name: PATRIOT CONSTRUCTION, INC. Contractor Awarded Address: STOCKTON, CA 95206 Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $24676461.00000000 The San Francisco has a need for low-voltage electrical rough-in work to be completed at the Ft. Miley campus. This work is in support of installation of upgraded Wi-Fi capabilities and consists of two components as indicated below in this document. It should be assumed that access will be coordinated which will primarily be completed by the COR however requires the contractor to maintain a tight schedule projection. Work can be performed concurrently and is not anticipated to require more than three weeks on site. Period of Performance of this requirement is to extend 45 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. While not uniform, the actions are very similar and a representative sample can be viewed on a pre-bid site walk. The contractor will be required to provide all equipment, materials, labor, and permitting to execute this action. Safe work practices in accordance with OSHA 1926 and CalOSHA standards are essential and competency must be demonstrated. Penetrations are to be sealed in accordance with NFPA standards where barriers exist. Installation of Conduit Pathways ***Reference attached "AP Preinstallation Matrix" for comprehensive information Installations Above Fixed Ceilings In general, places of limited access due to hard ceilings require the installation of double-gang junction boxes flush with ceiling that are then connected to 3/4 " EMC conduit in plenum space extending to an adjacent common pathway, most commonly a corridor. Where the wall to be passed through is potentially asbestos containing, this action completes the requirement of sleeving the PACM partition later addressed in this document. Conduit runs vary roughly from 5' to 25' with an average run of 10'. Approximately 50% of these runs will require bends and not more than three such runs will require multiple bends. Work to be performed in compliance with specifications sections 26 05 33 Raceway and Boxes for Electrical Installation and 26 05 11 Requirements for Electrical Installation. Providing Pathways proximate to Potential Asbestos Containing Material 36C26122Q0187 Where PACM is indicated in the "AP Preinstallation Matrix" it should be assumed that wall construction is standard 5" thick wall with plaster and lath construction or GWB construction. Requirement is generally to construct a 1" conduit sleeve extending through the PACM construction and terminating with length extension of not less than 1". Penetrations are to be secured and sealed with intumescent caulking. Building 1 - Special Considerations Building 1 is typified by vertical passages through existing pipe chases and walls that do not extend to deck. Of the 25 identified locations in Building 1 as indicated on the "AP Preinstallation Matrix" the following assumptions should be utilized: o Roughly 15 of the pathways require passing vertically though an existing pipe chase containing TSI Pipe Insulation and requiring care in installation accordingly. o All in-room AP locations are accessible by passage over an existing wall that does not extend to deck or through a sleeve to be constructed through the PACM wall. Means of cable support may need to be addressed depending on installation method. Core Drilling Several locations require drilling and sleeving of 2" cores to accommodate pathways. Means and methods may reduce requirement however not more than eight such locations are required. Locations will be specifically identified by the COR but are limited to the following buildings: BLDG 1 BLDG 3 BLDG 6 BLDG 7 BLDG 8 BLDG 10 BLDG 203 BLDG 211 Cabling Installation Locations (142 Total) identified in "AP Preinstallation Matrix" as "New Cable Pull" require CAT 6A cabling pulled from the indicated Wiring Closet to the identified Room Number. Cables will be ran in existing or newly constructed pathways and utilize cable trays or j-hooks for suspension in plenum spaces. The AP side will be provided a 3' service length for final installation. Verification reports are to be provided for all new data runs. Average run length of 250' is considered adequate.
