Question Due Date.June 28 3:00 PM PST Scope of work: Supplier'sproduct, services, and responsibilities shall include and be in accordance with the following: 1General :Bulk sodium bisulfite solution(SBS)purchased under this contractshall comply in all respects with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations in effect at the time of delivery. 2.Sodium Bisulfite : Sodium bisulfite solution(SBS)shallconsist of a solution of metabisulfite which meets the requirements of American Water Works Association (AWWA) standard specifications AWWA B601-88 dissolved in potable water. a.The pH of the solution shall range between 3.5 and 5.5. b.The solution shall contain no more than 4.0 percent sodium sulfate and no more than 2.5 percent sodium sulfite by weight.c.The unsoluble sodium bisulfite(SBS)(Na HSO3) concentration shall be no greaterthan 90 mg/l in any one delivery and no more than 45 mg/l average through the term of any contract entered into by the Agency. 3.Concentration:The concentration of the solution delivered may vary from time to time between 25 and 30 percent sodium bisulfite(SBS). a.The concentration of the sodium bisulfite solution(SBS)shall be requested separately for each specific delivery or group of deliveries. b.The delivered concentration shall be no more than 1.0 percent greater or less than the concentration requested for that delivery. c.The solution concentration shall be measured as the proportion of the solution which is sodium bisulfite by weight, expressed as a percentage.
