Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project consists of extending the existing Peter Street from Hudson Avenue to Palisade Avenue. Improvements include installation of a full depth pavement section, curb, scored sidewalk with decorative band, ADA compliant curb ramps, installation of lighting foundations, shade trees, rectangular tree wells, traffic markings, speed humps and regulatory and warning signs. Work shall also include construction of a dog park north of the proposed sidewalk, along the extension. Work associated with the proposed dog park includes installation of fencing and gates, an 8' X 12' pavilion, benches, water fountains, synthetic turf, and landscaping improvements including construction of proposed planter beds. This contract also includes improvements to Peter Street from Hudson Avenue to Park Avenue. Work from Hudson Avenue to Park Avenue includes widening of the existing cartway by removing the existing curb and four feet (4') of existing sidewalk from the north side and installing two feet (2') of sidewalk and curb. Work shall also include HMA milling and paving, installation of traffic markings, speed humps, and shade trees. The contractor shall have ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed to complete all work. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to City Clerk of Union City and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of"City of Union City" for not less than ten percent (I 0%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required.
