Site work and new construction of a museum in Westminster, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a museum; and for site work for a museum.
The Carroll County Bureau of Building Construction is accepting bids for one (1) new replacement pole building to be installed at the Carroll County Farm Museum l The intended use of this building is to replace the 40' x 140' maintenance building that was destroyed by fire. The Contractor shall install a 40' x 140' pre-engineered building/footing system as a pole bam style building with 14' sidewalls, 4/12 slope roof, two (2) 12' high x 14' wide insulated overhead doors with electric openers and two (2) 36" personal doors at opposite ends ofthe structure. The building shall include but not limited to: a metal roof and side walls of 26 gauge painted steel with a vapor barrier. The support structure will be per the contractor engineered drawing. This structure will be divided into two areas with a fire rated wall from floor to roofin addition to the wall one fire rated electric operated overhead or steel roll up door along with one fire rated personal door will be installed in the wall dividing the building. The contractor shall remove and replace the connecting walkway enclosure between the two storage buildings. The existing posts will be excavated by the ownerjust prior to the contractor setting new footings and post. The existing post and footer depth are approximately 5'. The new structure will be installed in the destroyed building location and on the existing concrete floor.
