Elgin ISD is issuing a Request for Quote ("RFQ") #2022-05: Elgin HS Girls Field House Pavement Project. The general scope includes removal, disposal and replacement of existing asphalt (approximately 530 SY). In addition, the current concrete sidewalk shall be removed and disposed of. A new concrete parking area, curb and side walk will then be created. The above scope of work is a general outline, to determine exact extent of work consider the Contract Documents in their entirety. Questions arising regarding the proposal or requesting clarification of the RFQ must be submitted in writing (via email) by 10:00 AM (Central Time), Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Responses to the questions for clarification will be posted to the following website by 5:00 PM (Central Time), Thursday, September 23, 2021: https://www.elginisd.net/Domain/104 Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract shall be required within seven (7) days after awarding of contract, if cost matches or exceeds $25,000. Performance Bond shall also be required if contract amount exceeds $100,000. Payment Bond shall meet the requirements of Texas Government Code Chapter 2253 as amended. The issuing company shall be authorized to issue in the State of Texas and shall have an "A.M. Best" rating of no less than (A-). Note: Awarded contractor will not be permitted to proceed until Payment Bond has been obtained by and written to provide for completion of work by the proposal entity.
