Site work and new construction of a museum in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 164,000-square-foot, one-story above grade, 122-space museum; and for site work for a museum.

Design and build a new collections and research building in Colwood, British Columbia to protect and preserve the province's collections and archival records. The Project will include: -Key program areas include public viewing and learning spaces, research and laboratories, collections storage areas, archive storage and reference rooms. -The building will be constructed utilizing mass timber and will implement sustainable strategies to achieve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. -The project will be procured using a design-build model and will include: Estimated gross area of approximately 15,500 square metres; Program areas to include: Main public entry and registration; Circulation core including learning areas; BC Archives and reference room; Research and laboratories for human history, conservation and digitization, entomology, botany, invertebrate/vertebrate zoology, paleontology and learning access; Collections storage areas (for areas noted above); Digitization and photographic documentation area; Administration offices; and Loading/receiving bays and building services. There will now be 41 bicycle stalls reserved for staff and 50 for the public, which includes 10 e-bike charging spaces. TIMELINE: Construction is underway. Sub trades are being secured through the Maple Reinders - Kelowna office. Substantial completion is expected fall 2025 and a public opening summer 2026. *Total capital project costs are estimated at $270 million.
