Demolition, site work and addition to a water / sewer project in Bellaire, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to construct Phase II Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion to 0.2 MGD in Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 184. The site work contractor is responsible for all site work, including but not limited to construction of on-site force main piping, underground piping at Train No. 2; concrete pads and sidewalks; underground duct banks; pull boxes; modifications to the existing service/distribution rack and existing blower control panel; all associated electrical and site work; facility start-up in its entirety; and all else specified and shown in the construction documents and not explicitly specified in the lease agreement, complete in place for a fully functioning plant. The lease of the 100,000 gallon per day package wastewater treatment plant shall include delivery and assembly of the plant with all accessories and equipment; the aeration basin; multi-stage digester unit; a final clarifier; additional disks for the existing tertiary filters; turbidimeters for the existing tertiary filters; walkways, bridges, and handrails; air diffusion equipment; air lifts; flow measurement equipment; a third blower; aboveground interconnecting piping, valves, fittings, supports; hose bibbs; control panel for equipment including the clarifier, modifications to the existing blower control panel; basin lighting; electrical conduits and conductors; all accessories, equipment, piping, etc. within the plant, complete as specified. Within the plant is all the plant related functions from the stub up for the force main upstream of the screening and flow splitting box, to the existing effluent piping connection downstream of the chlorine contact basin. The lease plant installation shall be the responsibility of the lease plant vendor. Installation includes all delivery, installation and start-up. The site work contractor shall coordinate with the lease plant vendor for all connections and slab dimensions. At Train No. 2, the site work contractor is responsible for all site work shown in the construction drawings including all work not associated with the plant between the stub up for the force main upstream of the screening and flow splitting box, to the existing effluent piping connection downstream of the chlorine contact basin. However, the site work contractor is responsible for concrete slabs and pads, and all buried piping located within the limits of the proposed plant. All buried piping shall be installed with a flanged stub-up approximately 18-inches (18) above finished grade at all locations or connected to the buried clarifier hopper for piping coming from the clarifier. The site work contractor shall perform all electrical work. The site work contractor is responsible for all underground duct bank work and all other electrical work from the main service rack to the pull boxes at Train No. 2. The plant lease contractor is responsible for all electrical work downstream of the pull boxes at Train No. 2. The plant lease contractor is also responsible for running all electrical wires from the leased equipment to the service rack in the underground duct bank provided by the site work contractor. No cable splice is allowed at the pull boxes. The site work contractor is responsible for coordination with plant lessor firm to coordinate pipe and electrical connections, buried pipe locations, deliveries and schedules. Bidder shall indicate on the bid form the substantial completion time. Final completion shall be achieved within 30 calendar days of substantial completion. Substantial completion time will be considered by the Owner in evaluation of the bid.
