Northeast Water Treatment Plant Flocculator Replacement. GLWA is seeking bids from experienced and qualified vendors to provide services for the Northeast Water Treatment Plant (NEWTP). The existing flocculation system at NEWTP is from the original plant construction and requires replacement. Work includes the system and its replacement with new direct-drive, variable speed horizontal paddle wheel flocculator system consisting of four (4) flocculation stages. The flocculation system equipment shall be manufactured by Jim Myers & Sons, Inc. (JMS), Charlotte, NC. Contractor shall remove existing steel spiral staircases, modify structural reinforced concrete floor and install new standard staircases between operating gallery floor and dry wells (basement) in the north and south flocculator buildings. Other structural and architectural Work shall include providing new hatches, grating systems, handrails, and miscellaneous painting in the flocculator areas. Electrical Work shall include: removing existing motor control centers (MCCs) and installing new MCCs; removing fluorescent light fixtures and installing LED fixtures; removing receptacles and installing new receptacles; running new power cables between new MCCs and existing unit substation; installing new conduits and wiring; and removing electrical feeders and installing new electrical feeders for existing drywell flushing pumps Questions Due Date: Jul 7th 2021, 12:00 PM EDT
