GP115003221-004 Each proposal must be accompanied by a copy of a certified check or bid bond payable to "Tyrone Township", in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the bid total. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The contractor must familiarize himself with the site prior to submitting a bid. Tyrone Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Owner. All work shall be in conformance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Publication 408/2020 and the Contract Specifications. Pre-qualification of bidders, as specified in Section 102.01 of Publication 408/2020, is required on this project. Tyrone Township, in accordance with Title IV of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49 CFR, notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that DBE firms will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The project does not have an established DBE goal. The work in connection with this project falls under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates must be paid to workmen employed on this project and are incorporated in the Contract Documents American made products are to be furnished, as per specifications. Tyrone Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technical mistakes in the Submission of the Bid Forms.
