Location: Sharon Project Type: Bridge - Construction MASSDOT - Bridge Replacement Bridge Number S-09-003 (Steel) Maskwonicut Street Over the Amtrak/mbta Railroad Fed.Proj No- STP(BR-OFF)-003S(150)X MBE (1.6%), WBE (6.9%), DBE (16%) Labor participation goals for this Project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women for each job category. The purpose of the project is to restore the continuity of Maskwonicut Street lost due to a collapsed bridge. The work includes the construction of rolled steel girders, cast-in-place abutments on spread footings, minor realignment and widening for roadway approaches, fulldepth pavement, drainage improvements, erosion control, curbing, highway guardrail, pavement markings, signage, tree removal and protection, utility relocation, Overhead Catenary System modifications, and other incidental work. The proposed roadway section over the bridge consists of two 10-foot travel lanes with a 2-foot shoulder on the north side and a 4-foot shoulder on the south side. A 6-foot sidewalk is included on the north side of the bridge.
