New construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Pickering, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 50,000-square-foot, two-story above grade clubhouse / community center; 45,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, two-story below grade, 435-space library; 40,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade, 120-space theater / auditorium; for the addition of a 38,000-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; two-story above grade, two-story below grade, 300-space parking garage; and four-story below grade, 400-space parking garage.

Future Phases for the Pickering City Centre Project are as follows: Phase 2 - Relocate the Bell vault, move Esplanade South, construct the integrated 45,000 sq ft Library and SYC, sell air rights for residential development, construct below grade parking for both. Net Project Cost approx. 116.3 million). Phase 3 - Update the City Hall façade, renovate the current Library site for administrative expansion (2029, Net Project Cost - approx. 16 million). Phase 4 - Construct the PAC (Pickering Arts Centre), update the CHRDC (Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex) façade, construct below grade parking, and construct new CHDRC parking (2030-2031, Net Project Cost - approx. 115.5 million). TIMELINE: Conceptual planning is ongoing. Phase 1 for a Park is now in design with MJMA Architecture & Design; details are followed on a separate report. Phase 2 has been deferred upon completion of the Seaton Recreation Complex and Library. An RFQ for a contractor has been issued; details are also followed on a separate report.
