The purpose of project is to obtain design services from consultants to replace two sanitary siphons with a single pre-packaged lift station. Three (3) hard copies and one (1) electronic copy are required. Electronic copies shall be provided in .pdf format. All submissions must include a completed copy of Form No. 3 and Form No. 4 The project is necessary as the 2019 repair of the siphon was only a temporary fix, failure to do the project could result in another failure of the siphon and potentially sewage discharge into the Little Beaver Creek again. Colbert, County Administrator, Montgomery County, Ohio There are currently two sanitary siphons that convey sewage from the Woodlane Plaza and the Woodman Place in Kettering, Ohio, under the adjacent Little Beaver Creek. The northern of the two siphons has been particularly problematic in recent years with frequent sanitary back-ups, as well as a failure of the siphon beneath the adjacent Little Beaver Creek in 2019. That failure was temporary fixed, but a permanent solution is required. This project will be funded out of 2021 sewer revenue. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
