Information for bidders, form of bid, plans, specifications, and forms of bid bond, performance bond, and payment bond, together with other contract documents, may be examined at the offices of Biggs & Mathews, Inc., 2500 Brook Avenue, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301 (940-766-0156). The major items to be furnished and installed are: 10 x 10 x 31 Deep Concrete Wet Well Vault, with Submersible Slide-Rail Pumps, 700 LF 16 inch DR-21 HDPE or 16 inch PVC Fusible Intake Pipe (DR-25), Pump Electrical & Control Work, Jib Crane and other pipe connections and miscellaneous site work. Bidders must submit with their bids a Bid Bond in the amount of Five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of bid payable without recourse to the Red River Authority of Texas from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of contract. Cashiers check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount will be accepted in lieu of Bid Bond. Bids submitted without a bid bond or cashiers check will not be considered. The successful Bidder must furnish bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. The Red River Authority of Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts of bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities and to accept the Bid most advantageous to the Red River Authority of Texas.
