Site work for a water / sewer project in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In general the work consists of underground chilled water supply and return piping (8" diameter) to be connected to existing 14" diameter chilled water supply and return piping (CHWS/R) near the northwest corner of North Charter Street and Capitol Court. The 8" diameter CHWS/R piping will be extended west on Capitol Court to serve the Wisconsin Primate Center (285-0A-0526). The eight44 inch diameter CHWS/R piping will be extended into the Wisconsin Primate Center. The CHWS/R piping will include manual shut-off valves with valve boxes exterior to the building and will include manual shut-off valves interior to the building. Work within the Wisconsin Primate Center includes removal of the existing chiller, cooling tower, associated pumps, auxiliary equipment and removal of associated electrical connections for the equipment being removed. Two new campus chilled water pumps with a valved bypass will be installed in conjunction with three plate and frame heat exchangers. Two new building chilled glycol/water pumps will be installed on the building side of the heat exchangers. New work will include associated piping specialties, controls and associated electrical connections. Base Bid will be received for: A single lump sum bid for All Work.
