This project consists of multi-use trail construction including aggregate base, culverts, bituminous pavement, and signing. This project starts at the intersection of County Road 558 (Soini Road) and the existing Mesabi Trail and ends at the existing Mesabi Trail that parallels County Road 627 (Sauna Road). Bidder understands that the County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any immaterial informality in a bid, all in the sole discretion of the County. 022-912-26 Bidder will deliver a surety bond or bonds equal to 100% each in the full amount of the contract. Construction operations shall be started on or after eight (8) Calendar Days after the date of Notice of Contract Approval. It is estimated that construction may begin around near September 15, 2021. Construction operations shall not commence prior to Contract Approval. All work required under this Contract, including vegetation maintenance, final striping, and final clean-up, shall be completed by August 31, 2022. On Contracts with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Targeted Group Business (TGB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VET) established goals, or any combination thereof, the Contractor's organization shall perform Work amounting to not less than 30 percent of the total original Contract Amount. The Contractor shall immediately notify the Engineer of any site visits by Local Permitting Authorities performed in accordance with Part 24.10 of the General Permit.
