The project consists of furnishing the following supplies, equipment, and/or services. The bids are for multiple Prime Contracts as indicated by DCI Group for the construction of the future Intermediate Elementary School in Polk City, IA. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated sub-bids will not be accepted. Work is anticipated to commence upon award of contract, and be completed by October 14th, 2021, as shown in the Contract Documents. A public hearing will be conducted at a meeting to be held at District Office Board Room at 13930 NE 6th Street, Alleman, IA 50007, at 6:00 p.m., local time, on July 15th, 2021, at which time and place any person may appear and file objections to the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and the estimated cost of said project. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond is required for this project. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The award of the contract may be made by North Polk Community School District to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and/or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
