Renovation of a detention facility in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of February 9, 2022, the project has bee awarded. A timeline for construction has yet to be confirmed. Hampden County Correctional Center HVAC Code Deficiency Repairs, Ludlow, MA. This project will correct ventilation-related issues within the three inmate Housing Towers and five Support Buildings on campus. The facility will remain occupied and fully operational, and work will be completed in phases. At the Housing Towers, new rooftop support HVAC mechanical equipment and associated ductwork, electrical, and controls will be added. Removal and replacement of existing inmate cell HVAC supply and return diffusers/dampers and cleaning of existing HVAC air distribution and equipment, followed by complete testing, balancing, and commissioning. The Support Buildings will receive cleaning of existing HVAC air distribution systems and equipment. The Category of Work is General Building Construction. Every General Bidder must be certified by DCAMM for no less than the bid price, plus all add alternates, if applicable. General Bid Deadline 8/5/21 Time 2:00 P.M. Correct ventilation-related issues within the three Inmate Housing towers & five Support Buildings. Facility will remain occupied and fully operational. At Housing towers, new rooftop support HVAC mechanical equipment & associated ductwork, electrical, & controls will be added. Cleaning of existing HVAC air distribution systems & equipment at Support Buildings. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
