This Request for Tenders (the RFT) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of York (the Region) to prospective bidders to submit bids for the reconstruction and widening of 16th Avenue from Leslie Street to Warden Avenue in the Cities of Richmond Hill and Markham. The Work is for the reconstruction and widening of 16th Avenue (Y.R. 73) from Leslie Street (Y.R. 12) to Warden Avenue (Y.R. 65) in the Cities of Richmond Hill and Markham, including but not limited to widening the road from four (4) lanes to six (6) lanes, culvert and bridge rehabilitation, installation of retaining walls, noise barriers, storm sewers, low impact development storm water management features, streetlights and traffic signals, construction of active transportation facilities, asphalt paving, boulevard works and utility relocations, as further described in Appendix C - Form of Contract.
