The Highway Department of the Town of Topsfeld invites bids on the following road materials and services. All materials must conform to the latest specifcations of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. 1. Bituminous Concrete in Place and At Plant F.O.B. Quote per ton. Estimated quantity for FY 2022 is 3,000 tons. 2. Bituminous Concrete excavation by Cold Planer. Estimated quantity is 25,000 square yards. 3. Rehabilitating Existing Asphalt Pavement. Estimated Quantity is 12,000 square yards. All bidders will be required to be "prequalifed" in the respective class of work by the Mass-DOT Construction Contracts Offce in order to submit an offcial bid. A contract signed by the Selectmen shall contain an option for renewal or extension for the next two additional (12) month periods at the sole discretion of the Town. All bids submitted must include a properly filled out Certificate of Non-Collusion and Statement of Tax Compliance. The Town of Topsfeld reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended, bid deposits of 5% of the bid will be required. All bidders affected by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries are required to comply to the predetermined rates under General Law, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive as amended. Successful bidders will be required to submit certifcation of payment of prevailing wages. Submittal of certifed payrolls on a weekly basis shall be required, where applicable, and be a prerequisite to receipt of payment.
