Replacement of existing chiller system with new modular system, including temporary cooling to serve building during replacement. To allow the University to evaluate bidders, each bidder must submit with its bid, a Contractor's Special Statement of Experience. This Contractor's Special Statement of Experience must be provided on the Contractor's letterhead. If your firm provides inaccurate or incomplete information your firm will be found non-responsive. If your firm receives negative project references they may be found non-responsive. To be eligible for consideration of award, the Contractor's Special Statement of Experience must include: 1. Documentation that the bidder has successfully completed the following: a. A minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) comparable projects with a construction value of $1,500,000 or greater, completed in the past seven(7) years that demonstrate the bidder's ability to successfully complete the project with respect to project size, cost, use, complexity, etc. DO NOT include projects currently under construction.. b. All submitted projects must be within the immediate nine Bay Area counties 2. Include the following for each project: (a) project name, (b) project address, (c) owner's name, (d) contract value at award, (e) total Change Order value, (f) completion date, (g) Owner's Representative email address and current phone number and (h) brief scope. 3. All projects on all UC Campuses and National Labs (LBNL, LLNL) within the last 5 years Original Bid Bond must be RECEIVED within 48 hours of Bid Deadline at: CAPITAL PROJECTS, UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY, 1936 University Avenue, Suite 222, Berkeley, CA 94704. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: "B" - General Building AND "C-20" Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-conditioning Contractor's License Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
