The renovation will include both interior and exterior improvements to the 32,000 square foot library. Pre-Solicitation Meeting: No meeting scheduled at this time. Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Construction Manager at Risk to provide pre-construction and construction management services for the project known as South County Regional Library Renovation. Exterior renovations will include but are not limited to the entrance area to provide improved traffic flow and accessibility, painting the exterior, and re-roofing the building. Interior renovations will be made to maximize space for both the staff and the public. Mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems will also be renovated and updated due to the current MEP being thirty (30) years old. This project will also include the installation of an automated material handler (AMH) if site and building conditions allow. All verbal questions and answers are considered informal. All questions must be submitted formally in writing to the procurement staff noted on the first page of the solicitation document. A formal response will be provided in the form of an addendum (see "County Interpretation/Addendums" for additional information). The County reserves the right to reject any or all materials, if in its judgment the item reflects unsatisfactory workmanship or manufacturing or shipping damage. The vendor shall refund, to the County, any money which has been paid for same.
