Site work and new construction of a clubhouse / community center in Rock Island, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The Rock Island Park and Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the design, development, and project oversight of a new clubhouse at Highland Springs Golf Course. Highland Springs Golf Course is a municipal golf course operated by the Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department. The golf course and the current clubhouse facility opened in 1968. The current clubhouse is original to the course and has outlived its useful life. A new clubhouse is proposed to replace the existing one. A new clubhouse is needed to create a welcoming point to the golf course that matches the high-quality playing conditions that golfers have come to expect of Highland Springs. Additionally, a new clubhouse would increase the programming capacity of the First Tee (our youth instructional program), accommodate larger fundraising outings, and provide a more accessible facility for all patrons. Award Date August 13, 2021 Construction Begins November, 2021 Construction Complete June 2022 The City and the Park and Recreation Department reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole, or in part, to waive any irregularities in any proposal, to accept the proposal which, in the judgment of the City and the Park and Recreation Department, and to re-advertise if desired. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
